Face yoga works the 57 muscles of the face and neck, improving circulation, releasing stored tension, and naturally toning the skin over time. No equipment. No products. Just your hands and practice.
We open with targeted facial lymphatic drainage, releasing puffiness, improving circulation, and preparing the skin to receive the full benefit of the session.
A set of precisely guided exercises targeting forehead, eye area, cheeks, jaw, and neck. Movements you can return to every morning in under 10 minutes.
You will leave with a clear, repeatable routine designed for consistency. Results from face yoga come from practice, so we make the practice as simple as possible.
We arrive together. Short breathing exercise to bring awareness into the face and neck before we begin.
Guided fingertip movements along the lymphatic pathways of the face and neck. Reduces puffiness, clears congestion, and primes the skin for the exercises ahead.
The core of the session. Targeted exercises for the forehead, eye area, cheekbones, jaw, lips, and neck. Each explained clearly with modifications offered.
A short guided facial relaxation using your oil. We release the facial muscles and let the practice settle in.
Open Q and A with Rakshita. Ask anything about the exercises, your skin, frequency, oils, or anything from the session.
Choose an oil that suits your skin. Rosehip, jojoba, almond, coconut, or any light oil you already use. Apply a thin layer to your face before we begin.
A bathroom mirror or handheld mirror works well. Seeing your face during the exercises helps you follow along and get the movements right.
Remove makeup and ensure your hands are clean before the session begins. You will be touching your face throughout.
Join 5 minutes early if possible. The Zoom link will be sent to you by email after booking.
There is no single right oil for face yoga. What matters is that it feels good on your skin and allows your fingers to glide without pulling. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, a lighter oil like jojoba or rosehip works well. If your skin is dry, a richer oil like sweet almond or marula is wonderful.
If you are unsure, do a small patch test 24 hours before the session to make sure the oil suits your skin. Rakshita will also discuss oil selection during the Q and A.
Rakshita brings together the rigour of clinical practice and the depth of yogic tradition to create sessions that are both grounded and genuinely transformative. With over 8 years of NHS clinical experience and a background spanning PACU, ITU, paediatrics, and adult care, she approaches every session with a practitioner's precision and a teacher's warmth.
Face yoga is one of her great passions, a practice she has seen transform skin health, reduce tension headaches, and restore confidence in people of all ages. She teaches it with the same evidence-informed care she brings to everything she does.
This session is hosted on Mindschool, a mindfulness platform founded by Shashank Ayur, a mindfulness practitioner with a community of 1.5 million across Instagram and YouTube. The session takes place live on Zoom.
